Our Modern American Fit has a higher crewneck, relaxed shoulders and sleeves, and an untapered body length.

Great Tee, tighter than expected
My husband has two of these tee shirts from over four years ago and loves them, He likes the reinforced neck and the fabric has held up beautifully. The new ones we bought in the same size are just enough smaller through the body that we are returning them. Next time I will order up a size. I'm not sure that would be true for everyone as it was close but just off by enough to cause us to return it. The other XL shirts I bought in other styles fit fine.
